New artwork from Lincolnshire artist Debra Davidge
Features Windswept Artwork by Debra Davidge, Price £35
We are excited to announce the launch of some beautiful artwork by Debra Davidge, a local artist based in Navenby, Lincolnshire. Debra has always enjoyed art from a young
age. She loves experimenting with colour and style, and nor is she afraid of looking at
Art, nature, and composition and then expressing her own spirit in my work. She tends to use acrylics, mainly, as it is so versatile but she also uses watercolour. She is not sure if she ever will ever be known for one particular genre as such.
Our big wide world is so ripe for so many experiences in
the art world. It is only, latterly, late in life that Debra has been able to
pursue her love of painting, after a long and hectic career outside Art. She is now in a position to pursue her dreams of making people happy with her artwork. She enjoys painting and hopes that you, too, will enjoy many happy hours of the work
that you purchase.
Meadow
Flowers Tryptch (4.5” x 4.5” – 12cm x 12cm) – Portrait style,
on Acrylic art paper, plastic Shabby Chic frame and glass - £23
Debra have always loved and enjoyed the countryside and the simple meadow
flowers have always appealed to her. The tryptch (trio) of the Meadow
Flowers include Cow Parsley, Black Eyed Susan (also known as
Rudbekia) and the very simple and classic daisy.
Pansy
(8” x 10” – 20cm x 25cm) – Portrait style, on Acrylic art
paper, wood effect frame and glass - £15
The
pansy has always appealed to Debra as from a small child, she found their
‘faces’ to be fascinating. She could see their expressive eyes
looking at me and their velvety leaves seemed so magical to me. There
is nothing more beautiful that an old terracotta plant pot with the
lovely pansy in situ.
Sunflower
(9” x 7” – 23cm x 17cm) – Portrait style, on Acrylic art
paper, wood effect frame and glass - £15
Debra can relate to Vincent Van Gogh’s love of the sunflowers. The
Sunflowers being one of his more and most famous paintings. How they
turn their heads towards the sun is almost as if they are watching
you and fields after fields of them abroad are stunning. The side
profile of the sunflowers are just as beautiful as one looking
straight at you.
Make
a Wish (11” x 13” – 28cm x 33cm) – Portrait style, on Acrylic
art paper, wood composite frame and glass - £50, Free UK delivery
Who
doesn’t love picking up a dandelion from a field and blowing them
so the exposed seeds blow into the country air. Children love them
and even adults, too. There are so many different folklores on the
simple dandelion of making wishes upon them and their medicinal
purposes, too. Go on, Make a Wish come true for you!
Ethereal (Angel) (11” x 13” – 28cm x 33cm) – Portrait style, on Acrylic art
paper, wood composite frame and glass - £50, Free UK Delivery
The
definition of ethereal means extremely delicate and light in a way
that seems not to be part of this world. Angels have always been of
interest to society for many, many centuries and Debra felt surrounded
with serenity when painting this picture, especially when we are all
so busy with our daily lives. Whenever she looked at this painting the
same feeling came over me and hope that within your home, Ethereal
brings the same sense to you, too.
Windswept
(9” x 12” – 23cm x 31cm) – Portrait style, canvas only, no
frame - £35
Debra loves flowers that sway when a gentle wind passes through them. The
vibrancy of the colours in the picture seem to be almost like a
moving rainbow. It is a gentle painting and one that you can
probably see something different in it each time you pass it by in
your home.
